Delay to flu vaccine delivery and blood test bottle supply issue

We have recently had many enquiries regarding the flu vaccinations at the surgery. Please note we are still waiting for our flu vaccines to arrive due to the national delay in vaccines getting to GP surgeries. We have been informed we should receive them in the next 7-10 days, but this could be sooner or even later.
As soon as they arrive, we will be contacting patients to book their appointment, and will be holding a saturday clinic between 08:30am - 12:30pm on the week they arrive. We will then hold further clinics in the coming weeks as needed. This Facebook page and our website will also be updated as soon as we have the vaccines available.
In addition to the issue with the delivery of flu vaccines, the NHS and countries aroound the world are also experiencing a shortage of blood test bottles which is slowly improving but still ongoing. We are therefore still having to contact patients to rearrange some blood tests due to issues with obtaining supply. Please be reassured that any clinically urgent blood tests are still going ahead at this time and will not be postponed.
Both of these issues are as frustrating to us as they are for our patients and we would like to thank everyone for their understanding and patience at this time.
Thank you.
Blackwell Medical Centre.
